Do not carry the burdens of others

Do not carry the burdens of others

lest your own back breaks under the weight, leaving you unable to bear the loads assigned to you by Allah.

  • Refrain from arguing, reproaching, or debating. If you must speak, let it be sparingly and avoid engaging with the negativity around you. Maintain silence, even if you're saddened, for silence is often the wisest response.
  • Everyone views others through their own lens, often tainted by bias and lack of courtesy. Do not concern yourself with responding to every criticism or waiting for your turn to speak. Embrace silence and find happiness within.
  • You are not a deity tasked with upholding the world's foundations or meeting every need of creation. Trust in Allah and carry only what you can bear.
  • The stars in the sky are admired from afar, but if they were to descend to earth, they'd be subjected to criticism and disdain. Be like a guiding star but avoid entanglement in worldly affairs that may tarnish your light.
  • Do not oppress, steal, or covet what belongs to others. Be among the doers of good, even if others misinterpret your actions. Move forward with integrity, knowing that Allah sees and hears all.
  • Do not exhaust yourself trying to please everyone, for they may never be satisfied. Let your deeds be solely for the sake of Allah, and do not fear the judgment of others.
  • If you have offspring, guide them on the path to Allah and prepare them for the challenges of life. Be prepared for disappointment if they fail to respect you despite your efforts.
  • People often confuse love with lack of manners, using affection as an excuse for rudeness. Be cautious and educate others, but have an exit strategy after imparting your lesson. You deserve only kindness and affection.
  • Do not regret the good you've done. Instead, thank Allah for His blessings, for you may wake up with security in your family one day and without a home the next. Even if your dwellings multiply, do not despair, for paradise awaits the righteous.
