We present the book “Why?”, one of the parts of the Al-Mutayyam Encyclopedia.
It answers the question: Where did we come from and where are we going?
We begin with the story of creation, through which we address many doubts related to:

• The issue of human predestination and free will, and why God created us
• What is the world of pre-existence (ʿĀlam al-Dharr)?
• Why does God not admit all of us into Paradise?
• Was Adam in Paradise before descending to Earth?
• Why does God create things and then prohibit them for us?
• Who is our true enemy?
• How can Adam be protected while he disobeyed God?
• Why do evil, injustice, trials, disabilities, death, and the loss of loved ones exist?
• Does drawing closer to God lead to more trials?
• Why are there constant warnings and threats in the Qur’an?
• Why does God not guide all of us?
• Can science create in the same way God creates?
• What is the difference between creed and law?
• Are religions different?
• Who was the first caller to faith?

Then we discuss the divisions of the Arabs in Mecca, why we explain these classifications, how the Arabs lived before Islam, and how the circumstances required a savior who would raise the banner of truth and unite people’s hearts around it.
